Rutgers is participating along with other public research universities through the Student Experience in the Research University (SERU) Consortium in a special survey to assess the impact of COVID-19 on the student experience. The SERU Consortium is an academic and policy research collaboration based at the Center for Studies in Higher Education at the University of California-Berkeley working in partnership with the University of Minnesota, member universities like Rutgers, the International Graduate Insight Group Ltd (i-graduate), and the Higher School of Economics.
Participating schools in the special COVID-19 survey include the University of Colorado-Boulder, University of Connecticut, University of Delaware, University of Virginia, University of Minnesota, University of Pittsburgh, University of Texas, and Michigan State University.
The survey questions focused on student educational experience, satisfaction with institutional response to the COVID-19 pandemic, financial concerns, health and well-being, belonging and engagement, future plans, and demographic information.
